1st Day: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

In the morning, an enjoyable drive across the High Atlas Mountains, through the Tizi N'Tichka’s pass over 2260 meters. Beautiful villages suspended on the flanks of the mountains…We'll call a halt to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, registered to the world heritage of the UNESCO, hundreds of movies are shot in this local design: The Mommy, Gladiator, seven year in Tibet, Babel, Alexander…etc. After lunch, we continue to the south through the lunar landscapes and the Pre-Sahara routes until we get to Zagora. The next five kilometers will let you see the first sand dunes and give you a taste of Sahara desert... Sunset and sunrise views from these dunes are unforgettable… You will experience a true camel trek in the desert, enjoying the grand solitude, immensity, and silence of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight in Zagora

2nd Day: Zagora – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After the breakfast, departure to Marrakech, on the way, visit the town of Ouarzazate: the Kasbah of Taourirt and cinema studio; then drive to Marrakech by the Tizi N-Tichka pass.

We spent two great days in this valley, passing through Atlas Mountain and then going down to the valley. Hamid is a good man, he has explained us so many things about berber culture. I suggest you to go with him if you want to know true Morocco (and he's very funny, so your travel will be amazing!) PROS: very suggestive views and people, met on the road. CONS: if you want to go to "true" desert, go directly to Merzouga.

“Amazing night! Thank you Hamid!” Our guide's name was Hamid and he was absolutely amazing to us all. Super friendly and helpful. He gave us all sorts of information along the way and gave us plenty of time to see the areas where we stopped. The desert night was fantastic: great acomodation, great food, great music. Breakfast was the best ever! Me and my group were sad to leave! We where 7 people and we went for a 2days-one night from Marrakesh to Zagora. It was a long drive, but totally worth it! Although, we where not in the middle of the desert it felt that way because our camp site was hidden away. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The tents where confortable and warm and the bathrooms where clean and nice. One again, many thanks to Hamid and his agency: Traces Berberes.

"Unforgettable experience, good value for money." I can recommend the tour to anyone who wants to get an impression of the Sahara in a short time. The trip through the Atlas Mountains is very exhausting. But once you arrive in the desert, the stressful journey was worth it and the Berbers there are all very friendly and hard working. But you can't expect much comfort for this price.

“Amazing tour into the desert of Moroco!!! Highly recommended!!” The tour was very good organised. The landscape is amazing and the camel ride is a very funny experience. The tents in the dunes are comfortable. Only the sunset is worth this trip. The food was ok, but nothing for gourmets.
