Program of the excursion

Day 1: Marrakech - Tassa Ouirgane - Tizi Oussem - Tamsoulte

After the pick up from your hotel in Marrakech, we will take the impressive road to Tahnaout, we will go through the charming Asni valley, then we will take the direction of Ouirgane. At few kilometers from this pretty small village, we will then make a detour in the mountains to Douar Tassa Ouirgane.

After an energetic Moroccan breakfast in Dar Tassa, the Berber adventure begins with our mountain tour guide. A hike through the Azzaden valley, Tizi Oussem then Tamsoulte.

We will take a picnic lunch on the road, visit of the Ighouliden waterfalls and spend our first night in a beautifull berber hostel.

Trekking: 4 hours of walking

Day 2: Tamsoult - Toubkal Refuge

After an early breakfast, we will start a relatively harder hike from Tamsoult to the Toubkal Refuge (3207m) via various paths that wind through the mountains. Picnic lunch en route then dinner and overnight at the hostel or in the refuge's bivouac.

Trekking: 6 to 7 hours of walking

Day 3: Toubkal Refuge- Jebel Toubkal summit - Sidi Chamharouch - Imlil

This is the most important day of our excursion: the ascent of Mount Toubkal. We will wake up very early to head for the summit, through paths and scree slopes that are almost more difficult but do not require any technical skills.

Once we reach the summit of Toubkal, you will appreciate the amazing panoramic views of the Atlas as well as the plain of Marrakech.

Break at the summit to take pictures and lunch then decent to Imlil where we will meet our driver to return to Marrakech.

Trekking: 3 to 4 hours of walking

Useful advices:

•    You need to be healthy, this experience requires good physical conditions.
•    A professional mountain tour guide will go together with you during this excursion.
•    Plan to buy or rent some mountain climbing equipment
•    On some trails, your luggage will be carried by mules.
