Day Trip to Tassa Ouirgane : Program

This unique day trip is organized to one of the most beautiful natural destinations in Morocco, the Asni Valley and Tassa Ouirgane village. This excursion will help you to discover breathtaking natural landscapes and spend an unforgettable moment in the heart of the Atlas Mountains.

A professional driver will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech, he will make you live a typical experience through exciting landscapes and he will invite you to discover the real authentic Morocco.

One the road, we will have a short break in the small village of Tahanouat in order to visit a cooperative of Argan oil and if you are making this trip on Tuesday you will have the chance to visit the weekly Souk of Tahouanout. Then we will cross the amazing Ghiraya gorges to reach the famous Asni valley where you can have a second break to enjoy a camel ride tour, take photos or just a cup of mint tea by the riverside before going to Doaur Tassa Ouirgane.

At 5 km before the famous village of Ouirgane, we will take the direction to a beautiful Berber guest house ideally located in the heart of a charming village called 'Doaur Tassa' offering an incredibly amazing view over the small valley of Tassa Ouirgane and Atlas Mountains. First of all, we will join a short demonstration of Tanourt in order to learn how to prepar the Berber bread, then we will have lunch on the panoramic terraces of Dar Tassa while enjoying a unique and magic view on the small valley of Tassa Ouirgane.

Finally, we will join a local tour guide for a walk inside Tassa Ouirgane village in order to discover this little corner of earthly paradise and experience the locals` lifestyle.

Back to Marrakech, we will take the road of Moulay Brahim trough the kik plateau and we will have a final stop in lalla Takerkoust lake, where you will have to choice to participate in a water sports activity like Jet Ski or make a coffee break on the terraces overlooking this fabulous lake surrounded by mountains and beautiful natural landscapes. Return to Marrakech.
